More valuable research into Berwickshire Hogarths, undertaken for us by Nicky Johnson and Jeanne Faletti during a visit to that area in May 2000. The data below was obtained from original documents held in the Berwick Records offices.
This information was originally posted to The Noticeboard, where William Hogarth was able to shed more light on almost every one of these Freemen, appending genealogical details to each individual. William's notes appear in this colour.
Abbreviations used: BUT = Berwick Upon Tweed. El = eldest. appr. = Apprentice, Berwick Enrolments.
