Comments: Hello to Hogarth family headquarters,
My father's sister Ethel (Edna) married into the Hogarth family in Durham UK. The Mr Hogarth she married was a widower with a son, Clive. Does anyone have this information?

Thanks,

Judith

Excellent plan, dude!
Comments: I'm here as I am a proud Hogarth and would like to know if maybe there are any long lost relatives or ancestors that can help me trace where my family name started.

I would also like to hear from anyone who has any knowledge of kilt-makers that supply the Hogarth tartan, as I am fed up wearing 'standard Scottish' tartans, as I can't find a kilt-maker that has ours!

Comments: Hi all you Hoggies, how you doing? Great, I hope. I would love to see if I can find something out about my relatives.

All I know is my father's name was Fredrick Walter Hogarth, born April 1910, and he had a sister, Nona. They were born in Utica Ontario.

Their father died when they were young - I think he was only 37 or thereabouts. I don't remember his name.

My brother was Harold, he passed away about 25 years ago. I have two sisters, Helen and Barbara. We were born in Oshawa, Ontario.

If anyone can help me I would really be grateful. Hope to hear from someone very soon!

Yours truly,

Fred

Comments: Hi,
I'm related to Isabella Hogarth married David Jaffrey 1832 and Mary Hogarth married Robert Jaffrey in 1874 (son of the above).
Being an artist myself, I'd be interested if there is conclusive proof that this line of Hogarths is related to the famous painter William Hogarth?

Cheers,
Stephen

Comments: Hi, I am here because my Mother's maiden name is "Hoath" Hogarth. My great grandfather came over on a ship from Fife and said he escaped and crossed over to the US in Michigan. He was 11 years old and could not spell. They spelled our name HOATH. I found out recently through the Scottish Society and Historical Society that possibly my grandfather was a home child. He could have been stolen or orphaned and shipped to Canada.

It is sad, we know nothing about him. Any ideas where I can find out more about where he came from and his parents?

Thank you,

Michele

Comments: Hi there,

In the course of my family history research I had reason to pay a visit to Wykeham Farm, Wykeham, Old Malton, North Yorks. I believe that it was once the home of my Clarkson ancestors. The chap who now owns it and bought it 15 years ago told me that the previous occupant was called Hogarth. Can you shed any light on this for me please?

Maggie
