| Comments: Hi, I'm Dave Hoggarth and was born in County Durham in the U.K. During a visit to my parents, Ron and Pyhl Hoggarth in Bristol for their Diamond anniversary, I was hoping to dig up a little more info on the family tree. I was lucky enough to meet Bryan Hoggarth who helped me more than a little! Something akin to taking a drink of water from a fire hydrant. I arrived back in Canada with twice the amount of luggage that I left with, mainly records of ancestors. An amazing piece of research. I have quite a few photographs of the last few generations. Most contain a few Hoggarths and at least one horse. My favourite is the cabbage patch wedding which I recently sent to Bryan. I would be pleased to send these to anyone interested. | |

| Comments: I am researching my line of Hogarth's. The first one I have on unoffical record is Richard Hogarth. He was born in London and moved to Ireland and married Mary Brian and eventually to USA. He had three sons, James, Thomas and one yet unknown. James married twice in his life. I do not know his first wife's name (do have his children from that marriage), but his second wife was Rebecca Seeley. From this marriage came Rebecca Hogarth, who was the mother of Mary Hogarth Dennis, my 3rd great grandmother. My goal is to dig up more info on the Hogarth's that came to America and their family that stayed behind. I have a letter posted in the Jigsaw Puzzle pages (thanks to Rod) that has a little of the information about my Hogarth's. I would love to discuss any possible connections with others and can share the little that I do have. Feel free to email me. Thanks! | |

| Comments: I've just stumbled on this site! I've been doing my family tree for about 18 months. My GGGrandfather arrived in Tasmania in 1857 with his wife and children from Earlston, Berwickshire, Scotland. I have info on most of Thomas Hogarth and Marion Gray's descendants in Tasmania. We would love any information on Hogarth's from the Borders area. Our Home Page can only be viewed with Explorer at this stage. | |

| Comments: We're from the Hogarth clan in Rothesay--Western Scotland (..hope that is ok..). My grandfather was born in Rothesay at the turn of the century. My grandmother was McNaughton clan from Glasgow. They married and moved to Brasil after the war to start a family. They had one boy, my father. My father was raised in Brasil and eventually moved to the U.S. for a college education where he met my mother who is 5th generation American. A great, great, great, great grandfather was Phillips who came to America on the Mayflower (and survived). My parents had 5 children of which I am the 2nd. The oldest, Bruce, has the family tartan and colors | |

| Comments: My Grandmother's name was Elizabeth Hogarth Hoibraten. Her parents were Barton Isaac Hogarth and Carrie Hain Maguire Hogarth. Barton's father was William Hogarth, but that is as far back as I have (so far) been able to trace on that side. All these family members were located in Williamsport Pennsylvania. Barton and Carrie are buried in Wildwood Cemetary in Williamsport. William Hogarth left his family when Barton was only in 6th grade, not much is known about him. I have only just begun researching my family tree. | |

| Comments: It's a great site, Rod. I'd love to hear from anybody who can give me some insight into the Hogarths from London or Reading. I think I have just found a connection to the three generations of Ralph Archibald Hogarths that lived there in the 1800s. George Hogarth moved up to Chelsea, London, where he married and produced our line. I am still looking for Henry Hogarth born in Wandsworth 1891 - he went to the USA in the early part of this century and was never heard of again. Also looking for Ivy, Jessie and Arthur Hogarth born 1894 to 1915 in Wandsworth. Nicky | |

| Comments: Finding out about my families history has always been of interest to me, but to-date I haven't got off my fat a**e and done anything about it. From what my family have told me, my great grandfathers family originated in the North-east of England. From the turn of the century we were established in the Stoke-on-trent area and the majority of my family are still based there. | |

| Comments: My grandmother, Florence Hilda Hogarth, was born in Cowden, Kent, England in 8190 and imigrated to the USA in about 1903 with her father Thomas Hogarth and mother Mary Elizabeth (Whittering) Hogarth. Siblings of my grandmother were: Jenny Hogarth, Nell Hogarth, Frank Hogarth and Roy Hogarth. Thomas Hogarth was born in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England in 1865. Mary Elizabeth may have been born in Grosmont in about 1867. I'm looking for all and any information about this family in England... E-mail me at the above address. | |

| Comments: At my website, click onto photos taken at and about my daughter Jessica's wedding, probably the apogee of my life. How many fathers get to marry their own daughter! For honeymoon the new Mrs. Murray and her husband Alexander replicated the trip she and I had taken together 3 years ago to Viet Nam. My new son-in-law was as taken by the place as we had been. This winter, following Chittagong in Bangladesh, I'm returning to Burma (as a foot broken in a sewer in Mandalay handicapped my visit there last winter), with a side trip down to Saigon to the wedding of my son-in-law's brother. Never dull! Cheers to all the Hogarths. BTW, my report on the last winter trip to Burma will be coming in November; the previous year's trip to Laos is there, as are the past 30 years' reports. | |

| Comments: This is my second attempt (because I gave a duff e-mail address the first time): I was born and bred in Horden, a coal mining village in County Durham, England, and now live in Dursley, Gloucestershire. I spend (waste?) a lot of my spare time in Genealogy. A lot of effort goes into my Danvers ALLIN line who lived in Great Fryup in the parish of Danby, NRY, ENG, since 1600's, but I do still occasionally get back to trying to figure out who were the parents of my G3 Gdad John Hoggarth, born about 1775 in the parish of Lythe and who married Jane Essay at Fylingdale and later Esther Frank; ending his days at Newbiggin farm between Egton and Aislaby. I intend to give a fuller description of the descendants of my John H into the Jigsaw Puzzle when I have it sorted. If Rod can find the time to process it I have other info which might be of interest to the north North York Moors Hoggarths. Wills and things. There are people looking into Hoggarths (in all its spellings) for other places in the UK, who hopefully will join in the exchanges. I count 18 in my address book. Bryan. | |
